The University of Amsterdam (UvA) is one of the largest universities in Europe and a core member of the prestigious of the League of European Research Universities. It is a prominent player on the international stage where it maintains close ties with all the leading research universities around the world. The university of Amsterdam is a true springboard for international talent.

With over 60 English taught bachelor and master programs in virtually every field, the University of Amsterdam has something to offer to all international students. UvA has an extensive international partner network. University of Amsterdam (UvA) is the best performing Dutch university in the QS ranking with 63rd place. In the QS world ranking by subject, UvA holds 22nd place for Linguistics, 33rd for Sociology, 37th for Philosophy, 40th for Geography and 47th for IT. In the Times Higher ranking it holds 92nd place.
