The Master's in Science and Innovation Management provides a thorough grounding in innovation research methods, theories and practices, enabling you to analyse and manage the innovation process.
The Master's programme in Science and Innovation Management focuses on science and technology driven processes of change from the perspective of innovation systems. In this programme you learn about technology and applications, about people and organisations, and gain a broad view of the policy, management and strategic aspects involved in realising an innovation.
The first year of this two year research programme will provide you with generic methodological and theoretical knowledge and skills, and experience in applying the acquired innovation knowledge in a business setting. The second year you deepen your knowledge and skills in a chosen specialisation area by conducting an independent research project within a university, company, consultancy, or government institution. The results of your innovation study will be written as your culminating Master's thesis. Graduates of the programme have the ability to integrate science and social science in complex, multidisciplinary problems, making them well suited for jobs in high level, strategic management, policy-making in innovation related fields, and for PhD research.
