Program description

Nanoscience & Technology focuses on the physics and the chemistry of molecules and functional materials such as organic macromolecular systems, polymers, semiconductors, oxides and metals.

The Nanoscience & Technology programme is a joint activity between Radboud University Nijmegen and the Eindhoven University of Technology. It covers the complete chain of knowledge from fundamental concepts (theory and experiment), via nano-manipulation and self-assembly, fabrication and characterization to complete device structures.

At Radboud University, the Nanoscience & Technology programme is embedded in the tracks 'Molecules and Functional Materials' of the Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy and the Master of Science in Chemistry. Students will subscribe to one of these tracks. Several integrative elements such as common lectures and summer schools for all students following the program will provided. These elements cover subjects at the boundary between chemistry and physics and will prepare prospective students to work in the interdisciplinary fields of nanoscience & technology. All courses followed by students at the two partner institutions will be mutually approved.
