This specialization aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of urban infrastructure finance within the context of public finance and public private partnerships. The module focuses on capital finance and expenditure management of complex urban infrastructure programs.
The MSc in Urban Management and Development: FInancing Urban Infrastructure combines lectures, seminars, group work, field visits and presentations. Participants will conduct research and write their thesis – non-compulsory in their home country - within the 'Managing Urban Governance' specialization.
At the end of the course participants will be able to discuss, analyze and assess aspects of local government reform essential to good urban governance.

The Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) is an international centre of excellence of the School of Economics (ESE) and the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
