Computer systems now touch on virtually all facets of society and personal life, in what is commonly referred to as ambient computing.
Computer systems now touch on virtually all facets of society and personal life, in what is commonly referred to as ambient computing. To ensure the safety, reliability and quality of these systems is a growing problem. This Master's programme in Computing Science trains you to become a specialist who is able to find solutions to these problems. You will receive a thorough theoretical training and will learn to think creatively, so that you can contribute to developing future techniques. There is a serious shortage of well-trained information specialists. Usually, our students are offered a job before they have actually finished their course. About 20% of our graduates choose to go on to do a PhD, but most students find work as ICT specialists in the private sector or within government.
Computing Science Curriculum
Individually tailored programme connected to the central theme Quality of Software. Subjects may include Information Systems; Software Construction; Embedded Systems; Foundations; Security; Specification and Verification; and Artificial Intelligence
Academic training in the field of computer science, with a focus on reliability of software, information retrieval and information systems, embedded systems, computational models, software construction.
Lectures, practica, cases, Master's thesis, projects.
The institute in the NFP country will benefit from the up-to-date knowledge the NFP student has gained. The graduate will in many cases be a lecturer and can set up research programmes locally. By doing so the graduate will contribute to capacity building within the own organisation. More knowledge will be available for colleagues and society.
