Program description

The bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy centres on the counselling and treatment of people with a restriction or handicap so that they can function optimally in their home, living and work environment. During the training you learn to supervise these people during daily activities, like personal care, household and work. An individual plan of approach which is in line with the wishes and possibilities of the client and contacts with insurance companies and care institutes are also part of your tasks. With occupational therapy you treat physical, sensory, mental or emotional problems (or a combination thereof) and you prevent problems that lead to, for example, employment disability. After this training you can enter the labour market or you can opt for a master's degree.
