Program description

The bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy centres on technical, social, medical and ethical aspects in the paramedical domain. Together ultrasonography, radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine make up the medical imaging and radiation techniques (MBRT). In case of ultrasonography, radiography and nuclear medicine it is basically about the creation of X-ray images, echoes and computer images of the functioning of the human body. Radiotherapy centres on the radiation treatment of the patient. You learn, among other things, how you create and process the medical images (e.g. X-ray images and echoes), reduce the negative effects of radiation to a minimum and inform and prepare patients for the examination. You also learn to prepare radiation plans: you prepare and carry out the radiation and you record the data.
