International Relations deals with the effects that global markets, innovations in technology, and heightened competition have on the world.
From hemisphere to hemisphere, diverse cultures and customs are intricately woven into the fabric of our lives, from business and politics to society and the environment. Today, what happens in one part of the world increasingly affects us all.
That's why it's more important than ever to understand the complex sociopolitical and economic factors that shape the diverse cultural groups that live and work in today's interdependent community. These differences in beliefs and world views can divide or unite us, enrich us or split us apart.
At Webster University, we believe that education is the key to dialogue and understanding and that knowledge of international relations is essential to our future.
Courses in the International Relations program are taught by academics, political scientists, lawyers, and ambassadors. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the exchange possibilities within the Webster system.
International Relations graduates may pursue careers within the United Nations system, government ministries, inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, multinationals, embassies/consulates, or work as political consultants, lobbyists or journalists.
