The 2019 edition of the World Education Fair Indonesia takes you to Jakarta, Manado, Makasar and Yogjakarta. This event guarantees a grand audience of over 10,000 visitors and more than 150 exhibiting international schools and universities. This is the international student recruitment event of the year in Indonesia.

This education exhibition provides international education institutions with a platform to showcase their portfolio to a well targeted internationally oriented audience. This event is a one-stop destination for all students (and parents, decision makers) and includes booth exhibitions, seminars, workshops, one on one information sessions, school visits and much much more. The World Education Fair Indonesia is the must attend event of the year for anyone who is serious about studying abroad.

Event Set up
This Jakarta education fair is attended by over 100 universities, vocational training, colleges, polytechnics, and academic institutions. Educational institutions will be divided into three vocational-focused pavilions: Art & Entertainment, Business & Finance, and Sciences.

The event will also feature companies as well as career keynote speakers who can inspire young students regarding their future career options. This exhibition will feature over 50 seminars, career talks, training workshops and trial tutorial classes.

The World Education Fair is supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Mendiknas) along with a great number of embassies (Australia, Singapore etc), overseas governmental educational bodies, sponsors and partners.

Jakarta - 9 March 2019 - Ministry of Technology
The Jakarta exihition consists of an Education Section, a Career Section and a Demo Section.

Education Section
The fair will consist of booths from participating local and international educational institutions, that have programs that are focused on specical vocational fields.

Yogjakarta - 8 March 2019 - Rich Hotel
Education fair set up with exhibitor booths. Exhibitors can meet directly with (international, domestic  and expat) students, young professionals and graduates.

Manado - 11 March 2019 - Four Point Hotel
Education fair set up with exhibitor booths. Exhibitors can meet directly with (international, domestic  and expat) students, young professionals and graduates.

Makasar - 13 March - Sahid Jaya Hotel
Education fair set up with exhibitor booths. Exhibitors can meet directly with (international, domestic  and expat) students, young professionals and graduates.

The Indonesian Education System
At the end of secondary technical/vocational education, pupils are awarded the Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan . Pupils also sit a state exami nation for this type of education, upon completion of which the Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional certificate is awarded.

Admission to Higher Education
The Senior Secondary School Certificate ( Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas, SMA ) and the state examination ( Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional ) are both required for admission to higher education. State universities require students to pass an entrance examination ( Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri ), which tests mathematics, English, Indonesian and the subjects relevant t o the student’s chosen specialis ation. Success ful candidates may be admitted to the state universities, depending on the number of available places.

University Education
Higher education is provided at five different types of institutions: universities ( universitas ), academies ( akademi ), colleges (sekolah tinggi ), polytechnics ( politeknik ) and institutes ( institut ). Universities and institutes provide both ac ademic and higher professional education, whereas academies, colleges and polytechnics only provide the latter. Graduates from university programmes receive a degree, whereas graduates of higher professional education programmes are awarded a diploma.
